The Bearcats have landed another verbal commitment from Auburn Hills, Michigan RB Joshuwa Holloman. A Rivals 3-Star recruit, Holloman is a true speedster. He has been timed at a blazing 4.19 seconds in the 40-yard-dash (using a handheld device). He has been laser-timed at a 4.28 seconds. During Holloman’s sophomore track season, he won the 100-meter dash state finals with a time of 11.11 seconds. Holloman is fast. Real fast.
And he’s had no trouble putting his speed to good use on the football field. Make no mistake, Holloman is a football player running track; not the other way around. During his junior season, he rushed for 1,164 yards and scored 18 touchdowns. He averaged 129.3 yards a game and 10.49 yards a carry.
The bottom line is that Joshuwa Holloman is a great addition to the 2015 class, assuming he doesn’t flip on his verbal commitment (see Antonio Howard and Quintin Hampton). Holloman has the kind of breakaway speed that can catch the ball out of the backfield for crucial first downs, and the kind of speed that threatens the end zone with every kick or punt return.
