The Bearcats have added a couple of strong players to their 2015 recruiting class. Ocala, Florida LB Ulysees Gilbert committed to the University of Cincinnati this week. Gilbert is 6’1″ tall, and will likely play between 230-245 lbs. Gilbert, who played for Trinity Catholic, recently ran a 4.55 in the 40-yard-dash. Last season at Trinity, he led his county in tackles, with 141 tackles. In light of the recent departure of Quintin Hampton, Gilbert is a nice addition to the class of recruits.
Second, the Bearcats added 6’6″, 250 lb. TE Reed Armagost to the 2015 class. While Armagost played tight end for Gainesville High School (FL), many expect he’ll transition to play on the offensive line. The Bearcats have converted other high school tight ends to play offensive line, including right tackle Cory Keebler (who played TE at Lakota East High School, just north of the 275 loop in Cincinnati). This season, Keebler is projected to start at the right tackle position. As many have pointed out, the 2015 recruiting class is a little light on offensive lineman, so Armagost looks to be a solid find for Tuberville and Co. Some high school highlights follow:
If the current trend continues, the Sunshine State will be painted in red and black soon enough. #Suncinnati
