Earlier this season we reported running back Ralph David Abernathy IV was considering transferring to the University of Tennessee to join his brother, Micah Abernathy, and former coach, Butch Jones, next year. Micah Abernathy is rated as a 4-star defensive back, and will be joining the Volunteers as a freshman next year. RDA IV will be graduating from UC in December with a finance degree. We thought it to be a perfect and logical move.
It is now official. Ralph’s father reported Saturday night that Ralph will be joining Micah next year in Knoxville playing football with one remaining year of eligibility, while pursuing a graduate degree.
On behalf of the Bearcat Nation, I’d like to express that RDAIV will be missed in Clifton. Looking to next year, with Tion Green, Hosey Williams, Rod Moore, and Mike Boone, it is safe to say the stable of running backs remains full.
