Former Bearcat standout quarterback from 2008 – 2011 led the Hamilton Tiger-Cats to the coveted Canadian Football League Grey Cup over the weekend. Hamilton appeared to have won the game with a 90-yard punt return in the final seconds, but the score was wiped out by a flag for an illegal block.
On the season, Collaros went 279/424, completing 65.8% of his passes for 3,261 yards and 15 TDs. He also ran the ball for 328 yards this year. In the Grey Cup, he threw for 282 yards and a touchdown.
We are certainly glad the 6′ dual-threat QB from Steubenville has found a place where he can showcase his skills and passion for the sport and, on behalf of Bearcat Nation, we look forward to watching him in the years to come.
