Bearcats junior Ian Happ is the 16th best overall prospect for the 2015 MLB draft according to MLB.com.
Happ is an outfielder. He recorded a .322 batting average in both 2013 and 2014 with 66 and 55 hits. In 2014, he led the team with both a .497 slugging percentage and a .443 on-base percentage. He also tied for the team lead with five homeruns, and produced a team-high 32 walks and 19 stolen bases.
He was named to the Golden Spikes Award watch list last year as a sophomore and twice named as a Cape Cod League All-Star. He was named first team All-American Athletic Conference in 2014.
We hope the best for this fellow Bearcat! Maybe he can be the next Kevin Youkilis?
