Bearcat track and field star Je’Rica Sanders has been named the American Female Track Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Armory Track Invitational this past weekend.
Sanders, a senior hurdler, finished third in the 60-meter hurdles in a career best time of 8.36, ranking second in UC history. Her time put her at the top of the AAC and 24th nationally.
Sanders is the third UC track and field athlete to earn this weekly league honor this year.
