Larry Brown is heated. Why? Brown is upset that Tulsa, Temple, and UConn failed to receive invites to the NCAA Tournament. According to Brown, all three boasted resumes sufficient to merit a bid. He’s also none-too-pleased that his SMU Mustangs won the AAC regular season and conference championship and yet received only a six seed.
What is his solution? Clean house – he wants to figure out who is on the Selection Committee, presumably to expose biases and make changes. Good luck with that!
The NCAA is a lot of things, but impartial and reasonable is not one of those things. Brown would likely have better luck getting Iverson to show up for practice, than to cause a change in the composition of that committee.
