Yesterday there was a viewing party at the Holy Grail (a fine establishment IMO). The team and coaching staff gathered to hear about their first round fate. As you may know by now, the eighth-seeded Bearcats will play the ninth-seeded Purdue Boilermakers in Louisville, Kentucky.
The winner of that game will likely play the University of Kentucky, unless a meteor hits Wildcats’ team bus on their way to play the winner of the Hampton v. Manhattan play-in game. I’ll not dwell on the second game just yet, but it’s possible that the NCAA Selection Committee read my article linked here (see 5th paragraph – hoping to eat my words).
Thursday night, the Bearcats have a tough match-up in Purdue. The Boilers feature a very long front line and they have some legitimate athletes. While the detailed analysis and predictions about that game are coming, for now I’ll give you a little taste of the celebration from last night…
I’m looking forward to Thursday night. I’m also terrified for Thursday night. Go Bearcats!
