Last football season, RB Jeremy Larkin rushed for over 200 yards on 7 different occasions for local La Salle High School. He crushed records at La Salle, including most rushing yards, most points, and most touchdowns in a season. In fact, in the Division II state semifinal game Larkin rushed for six, count ’em six, touchdowns. He has offers to play at the next level from Boston College, Northwestern, and Wake Forest. However, he has chosen to play for the University of Cincinnati, verbally committing to the Bearcats yesterday. What’s more, by all accounts Larkin is a fine young man, in addition to being a great athlete. La Salle’s head basketball coach had this to say: “He is a better person than an athlete.”
I’m looking forward to seeing him suit up in the red and black…again.
