UC B-Ball Lands Two Star Players and More!

Here is an update for all your Bearcat news this week.

• As of July 1st we are now officially underway with Under Armour. Here is the first line of UC clothing released by UA. Unfortunately, no jersey or equipment concepts for football season have been released. You must be patient Bearcat Nation.

• 6’9” 230 lb. NC State forward Kyle Washington is transferring to UC. He picked the Cats over Marquette and Providence. He must sit out next season, but he will have two years remaining. As a Wolfpack sophomore last year he averaged 7 points and 4 boards a game. This is perfect timing since both Octavius Ellis and Coreontae DeBerry leave after next year. Washington will literally have a massive spot to fill. But this kid is a monster. Huge news for UC!

• UC also gained a 3-star center Nysier Brooks out of New Jersey. At 6’ 10” and 252 lbs. he will be a high school senior next year, and has all the size to play down low. He also had offer from Seton Hall, St. John’s, South Carolina, Miami (FL), Virginia Tech, and Georgetown, but chose the Cats. Brooks and Washington will hopefully fill the roles of Ellis and DeBerry in the future.

• Gunner Kiel is getting a lot of preseason praise, and is expected to be the AAC MVP. We couldn’t agree more.
