As we watched the Bearcats football team progress through Camp Higher Ground this week, six players on offense and defense were running around in grey jerseys. These players are distinguished from the black jerseys on offense, the white jerseys on defense, and the quarterbacks wearing yellow jerseys. Why?
Because they were leaders and team captains. The captains for this year’s football squad are:
• #8 senior cornerback Adrian Witty
• #11 junior all-galaxy quarterback Gunner Kiel
• #19 senior do-everything wide receiver Shaq Washington
• #61 senior long snapper Kirk Willis
• #78 senior offensive lineman Parker Ehinger
• #92 senior defensive lineman Silverberry Mouhon – with a name like that this guy was bound to be a team captain one day.
